About Vanchha Chandrayan

Vanchha Chandrayan is a PhD student in Human-Centered Intelligent Systems at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI). Her research focuses on cognitive-aware, multimodal driver assistance, fusing physiological and visual sensing with LLM-driven interventions to support safer, more human-centric in-cabin experiences.

She holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive Systems from Ulm University, Germany, where she worked at the intersection of human factors, neuroergonomics, human-machine interaction, and psychology of automation. Her projects spanned driver-vehicle interaction, human-in-the-loop interventions for driver drowsiness and workload, and explainable interface concepts.

Vanchha has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Christ University, India, and gained applied experience through various roles spanning aviation psychology, EEG/neuropsychology research, and education and training. Her work bridges psychology, neuroscience, and AI to design intelligent systems that are robust as well as user centered.
